HPT Model
The Human Performance Technology Model (HPT) starts with determining the GAP or the difference between the expected performance and the actual performance. You then want to look at the factors resulting in the GAP by doing a Cause Analysis. This will include factors such as motives, individual capacity, and skills to name a few.
Next you want to design the interventions to address the issues uncovered by the cause analysis. This might include new tools, reward systems, new communication lines, new processes or protocols, compensation, and new tools or equipment.
After the implementation you need to evaluate the phases and look for changes and improvements that can be made to increase the efficiency of the interventions.
